Territory Battles and Territory Wars

Both are guild-versus-something modes, and Comlink treats them very differently.

Territory Battle

A cooperative event: the whole guild pushes against the map, and each member contributes a score per zone.

SWGoH surfaces the most recent Territory Battle with per-member scores, which is the number officers actually want — it separates the members who showed up from the members who did not.

Zone scores come from the event's own summary, so they are the same numbers the game shows, not an estimate.

Territory War

A competitive event: your guild against another guild.

Comlink retains the last eight Territory Wars, and no more. SWGoH captures each one as it appears so that the record outlives Comlink's eight-war window — but it can only capture wars it saw. Wars that scrolled out of Comlink's window before your instance ever looked are gone.

For each war SWGoH records:

  • The result — win or loss.
  • The opponent guild — name and ID, not just an anonymous result.
  • The opponent's galactic power — how big they actually were.

That last one is the point. A record of "won, won, lost, won" tells you very little; the same record against opponents twenty percent larger than you tells you a great deal.

Strength of schedule

Opponent size is compared as total guild galactic power against total guild galactic power. It is tempting to use the power entered into the war, which Comlink also reports — but that is only about two thirds of a guild's total and comparing it against a total makes almost every opponent look stronger than they were.

See Territory War history for the view itself.
