Units
A unit is a character or a ship. Every unit a player owns carries:
- Rarity — the star level, 1 to 7.
- Level — 1 to 85.
- Gear tier — 1 to 13 for characters.
- Relic tier — beyond gear 13.
- Zetas and omicrons — the upgraded abilities.
Units the player does not own are just as interesting: most of the readiness questions in SWGoH are about what is missing.
Unlock requirements
Some units cannot be bought or farmed directly — they unlock only when you already own a specific set of other units at specific star levels. Galactic Legends are the obvious case.
SWGoH models these as unlock requirements, and answers two questions:
- For a player — how close am I, and what exactly is short? (
/players/<id>/unlocks) - For a guild — who is closest, and how many of us could unlock this? (
/guilds/<id>/unlock-readiness)
The materials view goes one level further and lists what still has to be farmed.
For admins
Which units appear in the unlock views is configurable under Administration → Unlock visibility. A unit nobody in your guild is chasing is just noise.
Reference data
Characters, ships, abilities, gear and skills are reference data: SWGoH caches the game's own definitions and refreshes them on a schedule. They describe the game, not your account.
Anything hand-edited in reference data will be overwritten by the next refresh.
